Monday, May 25th: 

Memorial Day!

Tuesday, May 26th: 

 Broke class into scenes to rehearse for their finals.

Worked with Teach Me How to Cry, with Jayna and Katherine.
Tomorrow seniors will perform their scenes for their finals.

Wednesday, May 27th:

Xocee and Jeriah performed Richard the Third  as their final project
Both carried script - did not know lines. 
Speed the Plow  - Tigran did not know lines, every other line he asked for lines. But once he got started on the line, he was okay.
Aaron knew his lines but did ask twice for them. Had character, objectives, was engaged. Asked that his final be used for his audition for the Jerry Melton scholarship.

Worked with Speed-the-Plow: Tigran and Aaron
Cut the scene and almost finished blocking it  - finish tomorrow!
Made another copy of RICHARD lll for Xocee : Cut Richard lll tomorrow

Tuesday, May 19th: 

Worked with Katia on her monologue as Cassius from JULIUS CAESAR
Final performance: B
Worked with Errick Barron and Katia Ramos on “Clerks”
Presumably other students worked on their scenes.

Wednesday, May 20th: 

Not here. Sub said most students did not work.

Thursday, May 21st:

Broke class into scenes to rehearse for their finals.
Cut the scene of  RICHARD lll for Xocee and Jeriah and blocked about ¾’s of their scene.

Friday, May 22nd: 

   

Student body elections today.Sophomores and Juniors went to Student Body Elections assembly during 6th period.

Read through and cut the final scene of The Shape of Things with Eddie and Amber.

Cut and blocked the rest of Richard lll with Xocee, with me playing Lady Anne. Jeriah was not present.

Told the rest of the actors to rehearse their scenes.
Still need to rehearse The Woolgatherers and The Faculty Lounge.

Worked with Amber on her audition monologue for N.Y.U.

Monday, May 4th:


Had 12th Night students organize their costumes and props and fill out a prop and inventory list. 

Worked with Katia on JULIUS CAESAR.

A lot of people were absent today. 
People rehearsed or worked on lines. 

All scenes must be finished by Wednesday. 

Chelsy and Katia will do HOT HOUSE as their next scene. 
Chynna and Roger will do "Ledges" as their next scene

MacBeth - Amber and Christian - both got "As"

Chelsy - mumbley, but appropriately annoyed and upset
Went up on her lines a number of times
Catherine - does not know lines
Erick mumbled lines and just walked through the blocking
Blocking did not make sense - Catherine said that Erick was here before he was here.
Chelsy, Catherine, Erick - all made a "D"

SCHEDULE for TWELFTH NIGHT
SATURDAY, MAY 2nd
@
Grand Park

10:30 a.m. – HOLLYWOOD HIGH SCHOOL to pick up your costume and props.
                       If your parents are taking you, you may take your costume
                       Friday night. Load costumes/props into Cindy’s truck.

11:00 a.m. – Leave for Grand Park. You may go by metro on the red line and get off
                       at Union Station. Grand Park is on Grand Street between Temple and
                       First.

11:30 a.m. – Hang up your costumes and arrange your props.

12:00 p.m. – Rehearse entrances and exits/Speed through

  1:00 p.m. – Get into costume/make-up

  2:00 p.m. – Watch THE TAMING of the SHREW

  3:00 p.m. – Vocal speed-through

  4:00 p.m. – TWELFTH NIGHT

  5:00 p.m. – Curtain Call! Strike the Set!

  5:30 p.m. – Collect your props/costumes and load them into Cindy’s truck

  6:00 p.m. – Bravo! Go home! Rest! You deserve it!

Please be aware there is no place close by to eat (well, not a place that’s cheap!) so please bring food, water, and sun screen.

The closest parking is across the street at the Music Center, costs nine dollars ($9) and is paid at the point of entry in cash.  There may be other, cheaper, nearby parking structures, and/or metered street parking as well.
