Monday, August 28th: 

This is an advanced group of upper classmen; they are mostly seniors and juniors, with a few sophomores. Allow them to work on their scenes, giving each group about ten minutes on stage to work.  Let them know that their scenes need to be ready for presentation on Tuesday.

Tuesday, August 29th:  
Students broke into groups to rehearse their scenes.

Three Scenes and a Phrase

Break up into groups of four or five

Your job:

Come up with a phrase with a minimum of three words.

Then create three scenes in which the phrase is used in a different way each time.

Once you break into your group for the first time:

One person records:

 the names of the people in the group

the phrase (minimum of three words; no cursing, no sexual innuendoes, no drug references, no bathroom references)

Three possible story lines – all different, all using the phrase at some point, and the phrase in each story has to express a different emotion
