Agenda for the Week of June 19th
for
Advanced Acting

Monday, June 19th:

Today we will be having auditions for the “Jerry Melton” acting scholarship during 5th and 6th period in #503. For those of you who aren’t auditioning you must either rehearse or if your partner(s) are auditioning then you must study your lines quietly. You will be informed where to meet at 1:15 pm.

Tuesday, June 20th:

Today we will determine the order of the scenes on Thursday and Friday. I will then work with the first group that’s going up on Thursday, June 22nd.

Wednesday, June 21st:

Today I will work with the next group that’s up on Thursday.

For Thursday and Friday, I have invited a few teachers and classes to come and observe your acting final.

You must turn in on the day of your performance your acting notebook which must include your script with blocking, your “person, place and thing” project, your “objective” project, your character biography and your character’s“A Day in the LIfe”. Failure to do so will result in an immediate lowering of your grade by one letter.

You are responsible for getting your own costumes, props, furniture and music. If you need help I will certainly lend assistance, but DO NOT wait until the day of the performance to tell me. You should have your costumes, props and furniture lined up and ready to go by Tuesday at the latest.

Suburban Motel, Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and the monologue from Death and the Maiden will be performed at the top of the 6th period final. Mr. Itkin, Mr. Goldyn and I will be present for your audtions. Please be aware that other actors from outside your class will also be auditioning at this time for admission to the Fall Play Production Class. You may also use this as your audition piece for admission to the production class.
