Continue working on the Five Minute Sitcom

The first act, the setting, the situation, the characters, and their relationships are introduced. At some point – maybe the end of the first act -  a conflict arises.

In the second act, there are plot points and twists that cause a climax at the end of the second act. The climax is where the highest moment of excitement occurs, or the moment where the protagonist or the antagonist’s fate changes for better or for worse.

In the third act, there is the resolution, and the falling action or the denouement occurs.  There are no unanswered questions.

 Group 1:
 Beverly - "Merti Dickinson", counselor
Cooper - "Steven", angry nerd
Kamron - "Da'Quom Robinson", jock
Kayla - "Britney", peppy cheerleader
Melissa - "Amanda", dumb one
Michelle - "Amy", rebellious girl

Group 2:
-->
Gabriela – Dumb best friend of Katya
Gus – sarcastic observer, figures out that Julia, super together girl, has ADD and is off her meds.
Jahayra – bullied in elementary school, has a tough demeanor but actually a sweetie underneath, calls out the dumb bff’s to get their act together
Julia – everyone thinks she is super together, but is on meds for ADD and anxiety. She can’t find her meds.
Katya – dumb bf of Gabriela, each best friend secretly thinks the other is super dumb and is getting annoyed with each other
Montserrat – is overly flirtatious with the guys but no one realizes she is that way because she is secretly afraid she is a lesbian and her family is homophobic.
Taraz – player jock, who is attracted to Montserrat but doesn’t know her secret.

Group 3:
Anton – pot smoking kid who does his “wake and bakes” in a certain bathroom at school each day
Eddie – bully
Jess – teacher who also does her “wake and bakes” in a certain bathroom at school; lets Anton off when she catches him smoking but only if he shares
Joseph – Anton’s bf who also does his “wake and bakes” with Anton
Makenzie – principal who busts Anton and teacher
Moddie – Anton’s mom who is oblivious and vigorously defends her son’s innocence
