Improv to welcome the new student in:

First day at Hollywood

New kid, slacker kid, teacher’s pet, mean teacher, less than helpful counselor

Students divide into scenes and rehearse

Worked with The Scarlet Heart – pages 26, 27, etc.


Wednesday, December 6th: 

Assigned Carter, Maddie, Angel scripts to read for next semester.

Carter to work with Ivonne in The Servant of Two Masters  

Assigned the cast of The Scarlet Heart to cut the last three pages.

The Miser

Yubendi, Pedro, Emily

 Read through and blocked the first part

Thursday, December 7th: 
 Theatre games: "Graveyard!"
Worked with and blocked The Miser

Friday, December 8th: 

Discussed with the cast of The Scarlet Heart alternatives to performing the whole play.

Instead of doing the entire play of The Scarlet Heart, the actors would like to perform individual scenes that showcase their characters.

The scenes would go in chronological order

The scenes would use other actors who are in the scenes

If one actor is involved in a small role in a scene, then the other actors in the scene should reciprocate and act in the scene that features the actor.

Sophia wants to write a monologue for her character

Sophia could be the narrator to provide transitions between the scenes.

Jacqueline could also be the narrator

Who ever is the narrator should also write it along with someone else.

Discussed with Carter, Maddie, and Ivonne the idea that Carter direct Maddie and Ivonne in the Clarice and Beatrice scene in The Servant of Two Masters.
